NCFC’s Environment, Sustainability, Social, & Governance Committee (formerly the Sustainability Working Group) promotes farmer cooperatives’ sustainability programs and helps develop tools and resources for our members. It consists of individuals from NCFC’s members who work on, or have an interest in, the topic of sustainability. The SWG meets in-person once a year to share ideas, learn from experts, and provide guidance for future NCFC sustainability initiatives.

Field Guide
NCFC’s Environment, Sustainability, Social, and Governance Committee (formerly the Sustainability Working Group) developed a field guide to provide a framework uniquely oriented to farmer cooperatives for use in developing and assessing sustainability programs. The Guide describes the basic steps, processes, and considerations relevant to effective programs across the range of co-op business models.
